Problem:   Plant expansion meant increased compressed air demand and the need for additional capacity. The company’s intermittent usage patterns, however, meant that the compressor would need to cycle on and off frequently, causing a significant loss of efficiency.

Taylor Solution:  A new state-of-the-art NIRVANA compressor with variable speed inverter and hybrid permanent magnet motor to deliver efficient compressed air at a constant pressure.

Result:  The original system had an average draw of 53.1 amps. The new NIRVANA draws only 31.9 amps – about 40 percent less – resulting in a power cost reduction of nearly $5,000 a year.
